New Look, New Attitude

02/25/2009

Web 2.0 has influenced search engine optimization by organizing the infinite information field. When I throw together a blog, like I have this one, in a few days, I have to tinker with it until I like the way that the internet’s new social networking and bookmarking features are fully integrated into the look and function. The blog format you see here is ideal for creating the fresh and organized content that search engines love to crawl and understand, but it takes a little work.

The keyword there is little. It’s not that big of a deal to me, because I do it all the time. I’ve learned by doing. If you want to log in to WordPress and crank out an organized, content-rich, link-juiced up blog, go for it! It’s not that hard. But there are some best practices that allow you to build it with search engine optimization built in from the ground floor. If you really want a solid foundation to improve web site search engine rankings, you should start on the ground floor.

If you’re a busy executive who would rather pay someone to do it well, we’re hoping you’ll contact us. If you’re not, please, read on. Subscribe to our feed. Tell your friends through the share bars at the end of each post. Give us a link! You’ll get the hang of it.
